Matthew Nugent, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee and shoulder surgery, with an emphasis on arthroscopic procedures. He joined the team at Southern Oregon Orthopedics, which has locations in Medford and Grants Pass, Oregon, in August of 2022. He currently sees patients at the practice’s Grants Pass location.
Dr. Nugent received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School in Illinois. He then completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center and Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. Upon completing his residency, he completed additional fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction at the renowned Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Greenville, South Carolina.
