Orthopedic imaging to help guide your next step

A clear diagnosis often starts with the right imaging. Southern Oregon Orthopedics offers imaging and diagnostic services as part of the same orthopedic care system, helping patients move more directly from evaluation to answers.

Whether you need X-ray imaging for a possible fracture, arthritis, or joint pain, or MRI imaging to evaluate soft tissue and other structures, our imaging services help support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Digital X-Ray

Quick imaging for orthopedic answers

Digital X-ray is a quick, painless imaging test that helps orthopedic providers evaluate bones, joints, fractures, arthritis, sports injuries, and joint pain. Southern Oregon Orthopedics offers on-site X-ray facilities in both Medford and Grants Pass, making it easier to get imaging as part of your orthopedic visit.

X-rays determine the underlying cause of joint pain, including:

  • Hip pain
  • Knee pain
  • Back and neck pain
  • Foot and ankle pain
  • Hand and wrist pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Elbow pain

MRI

Detailed images of soft tissue and joints

MRI uses magnetic fields and computer-generated radio waves to create detailed images of soft tissues and internal structures. At Southern Oregon Orthopedics, on-site MRI services in Medford help providers evaluate orthopedic injuries and conditions when X-rays do not provide enough information.

MRI may be used to assess:

  • Ligament tears
  • Torn cartilage
  • Bone infections
  • Joint abnormalities
  • Damaged spinal discs
