James E. Ho, M.D., Ph.D.
About
James E. Ho, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Southern Oregon Orthopedics in Medford, Oregon. As an expert total joint replacement surgeon, Dr. Ho’s highest priority for all of his patients is to restore their function and mobility. He is committed to giving each patient the most effective care possible.
Dr. Ho obtained a Ph.D. in bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, before pursuing his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago and obtained fellowship subspecialty training in adult reconstructive surgery at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Ho’s subspecialty training also includes hip and knee replacement surgery and the treatment of arthritis. He maintains membership with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Academy of Hip & Knee Surgeons.
When not at work, Dr. Ho enjoys running, playing the piano, hiking, and spending time with his wife and two children.
