Michala is a physical therapist with a passion for helping people move better and live life to the fullest. She is skilled in treating everything from postsurgical cases to neurological conditions. She is dedicated to using her expertise to provide patient-centered and evidence-based care.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in interdisciplinary studies from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, where she excelled as a student-athlete, Michala earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from George Fox University in Newburg, Oregon. Her training rotations have provided her with valuable insights into various physical therapy settings, including acute care, outpatient orthopedics, and home health. She has honed her skills in treating patients with a wide variety of conditions, from postoperative care to acute neurological diagnoses like strokes (CVA). Her experience as a PT aide further solidified her passion for the field, allowing her to assist therapists and observe firsthand the positive impact of physical therapy on patients' lives.
Using her academic and clinical experience, Michala prioritizes a collaborative approach, working alongside patients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique goals. Her Spanish language skills allow her to connect with a wider range of patients in the community, fostering a sense of inclusivity and understanding.
